Weird Brothers roasts all our coffees in small batches at our Herndon Roasting Factory ensuring that the highest quality and flavor shines through. Our beans are of the highest quality and are carefully chosen through our favorite coffee import company, Café Imports, who travel the world to engage with coffee farmers across the globe. We believe in their mission of sourcing, developing, and innovating at origin, while empowering farmers with price, trace-ability, and long-term partnerships. We hope to share the experience, process and magic of coffee from bean to cup with our customers. Weird Brothers roasts single origin coffee from various regions across the globe as well as blending our favorite beans in search of the perfect blends. Single Origin Coffees
In the cup there are flavors of grapefruit and hops with a nutty aftertasteColombia - Tolima (Fair Trade Organic) In the cup, the coffee gives notes of toffee and pine with citric acidity. Another beautiful bold roast option.
Colombia – Excelsio (Decaf) This Coffee is a very well balanced and almost sweet decaf option for those that are not looking for the extra kick. We can either roast this medium or bold.
Guatemala - Huehuetenango (Fair Trade Organic) In the cup, the coffee gives notes of toffee and pine with citric acidity. It is similar to the Columbia but slightly more citrusy. It makes for an excellent breakfast coffee with a slight nutty tartness.
Burundi – Kayanza – (Currently Out of Season) The cup denotes flavors of savory chocolate, and nutmeg with hints of squash. We roast the Burundi dark and bold, its clean and balance makes it an excellent espresso or dessert coffee option.
Ethiopia – Yirgacheffe (Organic) The cup flavors hint at a tart lemon and lime with a creamy mouth feel and raisiny aftertaste. One of our favorite coffees!
Tanzania – Peaberry - Full - of body and flavor with hints of heavy fruitiness of it's cherry pulp. This coffee is similar to the Ethiopian without the citrus acidity. We like to describe it as an even balance between the Ethiopian and the Burundi Coffees.
Rwanda - Lake Kivu Bourbon Mayaguez (Fair Trade Organic) -This coffee has flavors of grapefruit and hops with a nutty aftertaste. There are also hints of clove and nutmeg that give it a slightly sweet and spicy character.
Papua New Guinea – Keto Tapasi (Fair Trade Organic) Flavor notes in the cup of toffee, nut brittle and savory herbs with tart citric acidity. Indonesian coffees are famous for their earthy nuttiness. This coffee is delicious as either a medium roast or a bold roast which brings out the toffee flavors.
Sumatra - Aceh (Fair Trade Organic) This Coffee comes from a woman owned and run by a group of Sumatran women. The cup will exude notes of herbs, clean, tangy and heavy flavors. Another slightly earthy coffee that is best as a bolder dark roast. Another heavenly dessert coffee, famous for its full bodied flavor.
